Mike Tudeen has over 20 years of executive leadership experience in healthcare services. The majority of Mike's career has been focused on high-risk population management, driven by a desire to improve the lives of individuals whose complex needs are under served by the traditional delivery system. Mike has been a pioneer in value driven, accountable healthcare. Mike has held key leadership positions within Healthways, National Seating & Mobility, INSPIRIS, and Optum. During Mike's tenure as CEO of INSPIRIS, he created partnerships with Medicare Advantage, Dual SNP, Managed Medicaid, and MLTC health plans to improve quality and satisfaction, while demonstrably reducing costs on high risk populations. While at Optum, Mike served as CEO of both INSPIRIS and Evercare. Evercare is the nation's largest custodial/LTC care management program delivering care to high-risk populations who reside in nursing homes.
Kirk brings 20 years of experience in health plan financial operations, care/disease management and advanced analytics to his role at PopHealthCare. Prior to joining PopHealthCare, Kirk served as the chief operating officer for Predilytics ,a next-generation healthcare predictive analytics company. Before that, Kirk served as both chief operating officer and chief financial officer roles at INSPIRIS and was part of the executive team that led the sale of the company to OptumHealth.
Arthur Pelberg, M.D. is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and has over 30 years experience managing high-risk Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial populations. Dr. Pelberg is dedicated to the integration of the clinical, operational, and financial programs in health care organizations to improve patient and population outcomes, including maximizing value, efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of health care. Previous executive leadership roles have included serving as President of The Pelberg Group, Chief Medical Officer of INSPIRIS, and President/Chief Medical Officer of Schaller Anderson (now Aetna Medicaid). Art has been a member of the American College of Medical Quality (ACMQ) for 23 years, including time as President, and is on the editorial board of the American Journal of Medical Quality.
Sarah has over 30 years of experience in providing care and developing, expanding and leading programs for high-risk chronically ill and geriatric patients. Sarah holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice as well as dual certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner. She also has extensive experience in nursing education, having taught at the University of Louisville School of Nursing, Spaulding University and Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Sarah joined PopHealthCare after seven years with INSPIRIS, where she served as Senior Vice President for Clinical Operations. Sarah is co-author of the book, Gerontological Protocols for Nurse Practitioners (Lippincott 1999).
Bob brings 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry to his role at PopHealthCare. Prior to joining PopHealthCare, Bob served as the Chief Operating Officer for a large insurer owned multi-specialty medical group practice with over 160 physicians, 1,200 employees, and approximately 200,000 patients. Bob was responsible for overall performance including ensuring the delivery of high quality care, service, and financial results.
Denny Bierl has over 20 years of health care management experience with direct operational and executive expertise related to managed care, care management programs, healthcare information technology, strategy and operations. Prior to joining the PopHealthCare team, Denny acted as President - Health Plans Division, for INSPIRIS where he was responsible for operations in all INSPIRIS health plan markets. His experience also includes senior positions with multiple health plans and as a principal for Pinnacle Healthcare Consulting. Denny has launched high-risk care programs in over a dozen new markets and has overseen the hiring, training and management of more than 3,000 clinical field staff over his career. Denny has a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University and an MBA from Webster University.
Greg Miller comes to PopHealthCare with over 20 years of healthcare experience across several business segments. Greg has a passion for identifying opportunities and developing solutions to deliver the highest quality and most affordable care possible. He believes this can be achieved by putting the patient at the center of the care model and delivering the right services at the right time in the right setting. Prior to joining PopHealthCare, Greg held leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, was President of the TN Quest management company and served as the market COO/President of HealthSpring of TN. Most recently he led physician strategy and development for Cigna’s Delivery System Alliance team. In this role his team worked directly with provider organizations to develop strategic partnerships to increase provider collaboration, evolve reimbursement methodologies and ultimately enable the organization’s market strategies across all product offerings.
Jay Benn, Senior Vice President of Operations, Care Solutions at PopHealthCare, has over 20 years of healthcare experience, with the majority of his career focusing on operational and financial initiatives to improve revenue, quality and care outcomes for health plans and their members. As Senior Vice President of Operations, Jay focuses on providing value to health plan customers through CareSight, PopHealthCare’s comprehensive high-risk population care program that delivers longitudinal face-to-face, in-home treatment, care support and risk-adjusted revenue improvement for patients with complex conditions. Prior to joining PopHealthCare, Jay held various executive leadership positions at UnitedHealthcare of Arizona, including Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of Preferred Homecare, one of the nations’ largest providers of home-based infusion, respiratory and nutritional therapies. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in both Finance and Accounting as well as a Masters of Health Services Administration (MHSA).
Deb serves as the leader of the PopHealthCare client service team. Deb’s primary focus is delivering remarkable results for PopHealthCare clients. This emphasis has created the funding for a variety of services and care for those Medicare Advantage members who need the most attention. Deb’s background is heavily weighted towards finance. She is a CPA and has served in a variety of financial roles over 20 years, including a stint as an auditor with a major public accounting firm. Prior to joining PopHealthCare, she was the chief financial officer for a multi-specialty medical group with responsibility for Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare membership. This experiences has provided her with a unique ability to understand the cost and revenue opportunities of each client and has resulted in the development of unique customized solutions.
Andre Barroso, Vice President, Business Intelligence has over 18 years of experience managing both operations and IT for healthcare and managed care organizations, focused on evolving and transforming business intelligence/information technology from a requirement to a true partner for operations and clients. Previously, Andre served as Vice President, Information Technology for both Maxor Pharmaceutical and INSPIRIS.
As Vice President of Human Resources, Angela Briggs-Paige, CMBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, leads Human Resources, where she is responsible for developing and directing PopHealthCare’s strategic people initiatives. Angela has more than 20 years of experience in the recruitment, retention and development of talent that delivers business results. Prior to joining PopHealthCare, Angela provided strategic oversight and leadership of all HR operations including HR technology, service delivery, operational effectiveness, business process review, continuous improvement activities, technology strategy and staff coaching and development within communication and healthcare industries. Angela has an MBA with a concentration in Management & Strategy. She is currently completing her PhD in Human Capital Management from Bellevue University.
Susan Chaffin, Vice President of RiskSight, is responsible for supporting a variety of strategic initiatives, including all Risk Adjustment activities related to Medicare and the Health Insurance Exchange sectors. Susan started her career in the information technology arena serving both the telecommunications and healthcare industries with both insurer and services experience. While serving in the insurer sector, Susan led the teams that supported the creation and implementation of strategic plans pertaining to risk adjustment, HEDIS, STARS, Medicare bids, and health management for a Medicare Advantage plan. Susan has also acted as the product owner for all Medicare Advantage revenue management products where she was responsible for the establishment of a retrospective review program. Susan has Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing and Computer and Information Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and an MBA from Samford University.
Robb Cohen, Vice President, Government Affairs, has spent his career dedicated to helping high-risk populations for payers and providers. Previously, Robb was a Co-Founder & Senior Executive of XLHealth, which was founded as a diabetes disease management company, became the nation’s leading Medicare Advantage Chronic Special Needs Plan, and was acquired by UnitedHealthcare. Robb is also the former / founding CEO of Advanced Health Collaborative, a network that includes seven health systems with ten hospitals. Robb has an MBA from The Wharton School in Finance and Healthcare Management, is a regular speaker at industry conferences, and is a board member for many not-for-profit organizations.
Prior to joining PopHealthCare, Brian spent more than 25 years in the healthcare industry in a variety of strategic sales and sales leadership roles focused on group employee benefits. He worked primarily with large regional and national account segments and led market development activities to identify and expand new and existing distribution channels. Most recently, Brian served as Regional Vice President of Sales and Distribution for a large multi-line insurance carrier in the western United States where he was responsible for new sales growth and the retention of a large client base consisting of nearly one million members throughout the region. Since joining PopHealthCare, Brian has led the business development efforts for the risk adjustment and revenue management division that contributes to our overall growth and success.
Former CEO of Secure Document Imaging, Steve worked in the telecommunications industry before coming to PopHealthCare. While at PopHealthCare, Steve has overseen the creation of the medical record retrieval process and the medical record coding process. Steve and his team built both process operations from scratch and now PopHealthCare has one of the most innovative, efficient, and secure suites of software and hardware tools available in the industry.
Steve Stubblefield, Director of Information Technology Infrastructure, has over twenty years of experience delivering innovative technology solutions with a healthcare focus. At PopHealthCare, Steve is responsible for IT infrastructure, systems and applications, as well as technical service and support. Previously, Steve held positions within healthcare organizations where his responsibilities included leading the effort to develop and deploy a custom electronic medical record (EMR) system, as well as managing teams of engineers and support staff responsible for the deployment and management of custom healthcare technology systems located across the county in over 2500 hospital, clinic, and data center locations.
